How to get to the Düsseldorf Oktoberfest from Dortmund
By car
The journey from Dortmund to Düsseldorf is uncomplicated:
- Via the A40 or A44 in the direction of Düsseldorf.
- Parking facilities: Free parking on Heidelberger Straße.
- VIP parking spaces directly at the marquee (available by prior booking).
By train / ÖVP
From Dortmund Central Station you can quickly get to Schützenplatz Eller:
- RE1, RE6 or RE11 in the direction of Düsseldorf main station (journey time approx. 50 minutes).
- Change to the S6 in the direction of Köln-Nippes to Düsseldorf-Eller Süd (approx. 10 minutes).
- It is only a 5-minute walk (350 meters) from Düsseldorf-Eller Süd station to the marquee.
By long-distance bus
You can also easily reach the Düsseldorf Oktoberfest by long-distance bus:
- Travel time from Dortmund central station to Düsseldorf main station: approx. 60 minutes.
- Continue with the S6 to Düsseldorf-Eller Süd (travel time approx. 10 minutes).
